Deep trouble!

I have a real issue with rattles and chase them down anytime I hear them.
In the interior partitions the switch wires run up the walls and flop around a lot.

My “fix” was to spray foam insulation into the walls .
One wall went very well with rattle stopped and the wall felt and sounded much more solid. I moved onto the bath wall. Removed the bathroom light switch, inserted my 2’ extension neoprene hose up into the wall. If any of you have ever used this stuff it is very messey so I covered things up ,etc. carefully I began to pull and remove the hose while still holding the trigger. Within a couple of inches of being done the hose sliped off the nossle and you know what happened! Everywhere... wall, floor all spray foam insulation. I know lacquer thinner cleans the stuff so I run to get a rag soaked with thinner. The floor actually cleaned up easily. I moved to the wall that had the heaviest deposit the thinner removed the foam as well as all the coloring on the wall board. I have now painted the wall board in a very nice matching color until I decide whether to have Renegade replace the wall board. To say the least I am in the dog house per orders from the woman who I have lived with for 41 years. Her only comment was “ why do you do what you do”!?? Next time you hear a rattle put ear plugs in !!! I guess with two years of ownership, 20,000 miles with not a single scratch, dent, or mishap of any kind I am due one break!

Too late now, but the trick is to let it set, it will easily break away and any residual rubbed off. Don’t try to wipe it while it’s wet and sticky. Big mess but the good thing is now you’ve learned. My personal biggest lesson is if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Thanks to all of you for understanding! I should have thought to have let it dry but I was in real panic mode!

Sounds like the same thing my wife would have said.

Glad it all worked out.
