How long does the Gray tank stay on 2/3rds ?

So I know this was posted in one of the other renegade topics, but I can't find it now.
So this past weekend we were dry camping and on day 2 we hit 2/3 on the gray tank.
Fresh was still at 2/3s so that doesn't add at all.

we went 3 more days and never got above the 2/3s either full in gray or below on the fresh.
it was nice to not suddenly hit full on the gray tank, but I do wish I had better monitoring.

Anyone done the sealevel sensors ?
or can we 'move' the existing sensor on the gray tank ?
Any thoughts appreciated.
Bruce

Bruce,

I have encountered the same thing on mine and other RVs I have owned.

I too would be interested in an relatively easy fix.

I currently have the rig into the repair shop for mostly the awning not working right. I asked them to look at the tank sensors also, I will update with what they say.
these are the biggest holding tanks I've had and it's to bad they don't read accurately

Just realized I didn't update after I got the rig back.
So the repair shop said the sensors where placed correctly and that was it.
They are not correct, I hit 2/3rds after 2 days of dry camping and proceeded to use that tank for the next 3 days without hitting full.

Does anyone know if a new tank monitor system would need new wires run from the tanks to the panel ? or can the existing wiring be used ?

Over this last weekend I discovered a hydraulic leak in the hoses when the leveling jacks are deployed.
it's a cluster of hoses just forward ( towards the engine ) of hydraulic box.

It only leaks when the jacks are moving, so I don't know how long it's been there...

Check this monitor system out.

https://www.garnetinstruments.com/rv-shop/products/

I have never used it but have heard nothing but good and it doesn't need any additional wiring.

I would like to upgrade to it in the future.

NRC installed them in both my Conversions from them and the Chariot I had after them also had it... They are not perfect but work much better than what we now have.
