New Renagade Veracruz

https://www.renegaderv.com/renegade-veracruz-2019

My wife and I have been looking at a Verona and Valencia. Test drove both. Really liked the Verona 36 VSB.

Just saw the above Veracruz. I see it has cab safety airbags--nice feature which I recall is not present on the Verona or Valencia. It also has a listed 12,000 towing capacity (not sure what fully loaded capacity would pencil out to be?)

My guess is the new Veracruz is going to be at about a 60k lower price point than the Verona VSB. I could be off. Just wondering what you folks think about the Ford Chassis and drivetrain--handling, drivability, power, etc. On my one hour test drive, I thought that the Verona drove very well, but still a little "truck like" on the front end--I know its a truck. It did track very well and required noticeably less driver input than my current Class DP.

What do you think of the Veracruz concept?

Have you seen the Dynamax Isata 5? We've been talking about downsizing from our DP and like this one since it comes in a 30' model. It also comes in 36'.

The Veracruz is about $60K less than the Valencia. The Verona is another $30K or so more than the Valencia.

Toured a Vera Cruz a few weeks ago at North Trail RV. Looked at that and the Verona. My mind was pretty well made up to get a Verona 36VSB beforehand but I was curious to at least look at the VC . Beautiful coach. Fit and finish were as nice as the Verona and I thought it was a really nice layout. Only thing I didn't car for was the Spyder controls, but that's just me. I like light switches. Weird, huh ? ........Oh, and yes, I got my Verona !

Not sure about the Veracruz but we were interested at one time in the Dynamax Isata 5 but the CCC was very low. I would check into that.

In my 2019 Verona there are no occupant air bags. But the chassis does have a 7 foot crumple zone in front. Their a brochure out there from Freightliner

I looked at the initial releases about this and was not at all fond of the cafeteria like bench and table that is in the FWS floorplan. Now I see they have a second floor plan, the MDS, which I'm much more in favor of. Unfortunately, I can only find the floorplan diagram and can't find interior photos. If anyone can point to a place to get photos, I'd appreciate it.

Renegades website has been updated with their 2019 model year brochure a couple of days ago

Thanks for the link. The photos are all of the FWS floorplan, but if they've put together a second floorplan, I expect they'll get some photos out soon.

I check regularly. I visit the Renegade website and I scan dealer inventories. I've not yet found any photos of the MDS and I haven't found a single unit on a dealer's lot.

Veracruz 35MDS

I got in touch with a regional Sales Rep, he thought in March or April production will kick out the MDS floor plan pics to follow.
