Good morning everyone... A hot and sunny day at the jersey shore .. Ok here's my question ... I was reading over in RV.NET about the rear noise that might be or... is evident in Diesel Pushers as well as the heat that the engine produces back there in the bedroom/rear bath room area ... I know this is the TC room, but how much noise is there up front in a TC . People say they like to sleep in the rear while underway .. But the noise ... Problem ,So they (some) say they wear or should wear light weight ear plugs ...I know that it is a peaceful ride back there in a TC because the motor is up front .. What's everyone's take on this . Hope I was clear ..
Marc

My t/c is not quiet in the cab when underway. I wouldn't say it's "loud" either. The bedroom is very quiet when on the road. I guess I wouldn't make my chassis decision based on this issue. At least for me all the benefits of the t/c far outweigh the noise factor. You should take some t/c's for a drive and see what you think.

Each t/c may be different depending on the make and model when it comes to engine noise. My engine noise is not bad...wife and I can talk with a normal voice level, although once in a while I wil SHOUT at her............hehe
Never have been in bedroom while driving since it seems I cannot do two things at once but based upon not having to secure many of things in the garage..would think it is rather smooth riding.

Like Bob said, take some t/c's for a test drive.

My Dynamax is somewhat louder in the cockpit than our old class A but it certainly doesn't cause anyone to raise their voice. My DW would never sleep on the road with the class A either because of the heat under the bed and the diesel noise...now she naps back there all the time...very quiet.

I was in a friends Class A Gas and thought it would be fun to lay on the rear bed to see how comfortable it was while underway. It was very quiet but I was bouncing off the bed. It was not a very pleasent experience.

My Allegro gas 32' class A you can't even compare the rear axle ride to my truck. My wife used to take Dramamine when we had the Allegro. She doesn't with our t/c.
