The RV designation make s it MUCH cheaper for allmost everything here in ohio.
Plates are $49.50 for a full year, liablity insurance is $125 per year.
If my design had a name,...it would be "tightwad"
I am building a moble man cave with a garage. the gearage part will be the back 4or 5 feet of the box. I'm keeping the large roolup door. I allready have a 110V outlet and a air hose chuck on the back bumper. I willl carry alot of tools and spare jeep parts. and the living space won't have carpet or a bathroom. (many camgrounds have bath houses) It is best described as the largest and sturdyiest alturnative to a tent riding on a truck frame. comfy bed, decent sized fridge, microwave, I hope to have the flatscreen and couch intalled this summer.
There are many somewhat like this on Jeepforum.com (google the word Krawler Hauler to see one) and pirate 4x4.com forums. many use the entire Uhaul truck and haul thier jeeps inside the back. that does work better with the 26 foot box. Mine is the smaller 24 footer.
I still need to mount my 2 battery boxes, extra 50 gallon fuel tank, spare tire bracket, and buy 4 rear tires for it.
