Renegade Couch Seat Belt recall

I received a kit from Renegade after they called me about the seat belts on the couch in my Verona.
After receiving the kit it looks like they want to drill a 3/8" hole in the bottom of the slide out floor to attach a new 4"x4" 'anchor' plate.

Has anyone had this done ?

We never use these belts so I'm not overly motivated to modify them.. but I will save the parts incase I ever trade this one in.

Thanks
Bruce

Deputy....I am with you! Got the kit but have not done the update/installation. May wait until I am close to Bristol and have Renegade do it.

Nice ! let me know if you do and how you think it worked out.
I have no idea how the belts are secured now, I bet it's just a bolt thru the floor..

Ask yourself if the modification is worth having the plate possibly interfering with rollers, slide seal and floor of the coach as the slide lifts up when fully retracted. I understand the need for good seat belt anchors. Accept their fix, store it in a bin and let the next owner make the decision if they so choose to do so.

Seat Belt Recall

Had the recall completed by my dealer Hickory Enclosed Trailers in Hickory NC. The replacement took about two hours and the slide operates as before with no unusual noise or movement. I believe the belts were simply attached to the couch frame.
