I did a tour of Silver Crown before they closed. Most of their coaches were custom built. I liked the Pony Express with the back wall slide. Quality was good.

I know of a guy that has one. He lives in New York. He's pretty happy with it. I've heard they were well made. Talked to a guy that delivered a few Silver Crown's and he said they're very nice.

Thanks

Great thanks for the responses, I am looking at one. A little concerned they are out of business, makes problems more challenging.

The Chassis should be no problem. Lots of the Kodiak's around. Most everything else except for walls and roof are the same as any other manufacture uses. There are many places that do repairs on anything on a RV.

Thanks, appreciate the responses. Am going to look at it this afternoon, so I guess it comes down to how good of shape it is in and the price. The pictures we have seen are very blurry, you would think if you were advertising to sale you could take good pictures, and there were no pics of the bath. One picture they did take was of the mirror on the ceiling with the lights around it... great - I get to see a good picture of the one thing I really hate.. I also wish they would show the floor plan, kind of hard to determine the size of the garage, etc. so we will see. Thanks again for all the comments.

I agree with Ronjhall about not worrying. I would only be concerned if there had been a warranty in place when the company closed the doors. Once you are beyond warranty it's not that big of a deal. One person I know bought a coach built by a defunct company and had a bit of trouble getting it registered in Canada if I remember correctly. Something about the builder had to certify something. I think they did get it registered but had to have another company do something to certify.

Is the one you're looking at built on a Kodiak chassis? I'd prefer a class 8 HDT chassis myself. Especially if it's got a garage in it. How did the look go?
