Verona thermostat malfunction

So I have this posted in the general section,
thought I would cross post here.

And to remove the thermostat there is one screw on the bottom that holds the unit to the base. easy to take off. I'll update when I get a replacement.

Interesting post. I have a 2017 Renegade Verona with the same system. A few weeks ago, the temperature for zone 1 kept fluctuating drastically. It would read 72 then jump to to 88, then jump to 65, causing the compressor to kick on and off on the front rooftop AC. Now, it seems to work fine. I don’t know?!?

That sounds more like the remote temp sensor is bad ?
This just seems to want to turn on the systems with no input from you.

I located the fuse for the thermostat in the 12v section ( under the stove ) and I could pull that to stop it, or flip the A/C breakers off.

It is in the Az. sun so it gets warm in there... the doc I found says it's good to 175 !! I hope it's not that hot in there

Yeah, I thought so too. I had a Mobile RV tech come out and he checked the sensor and believed it was working properly. He thinks it is the actual Airxcel thermostat control/motherboard. He couldn’t get a replacement in on time before we had to leave. Got home, and it’s been working fine. Guess I’ll wait for it to malfunction again before I take it in.

So I'm getting a new thermostat mailed out from Airxcel.

Interestingly over the weekend we were up north where it is cooler ( high 85 ) and the thermostat did not 'turn itself on'.

Now that I'm back home and 100+ I'll have to go check it again.

I'll update once the new thermostat is installed.

On my 2019 Verona I had a issue that when I was plugged into a temporary 30 amp circuit while I was installing a permanent 50 amp outlet I could get the front AC to run but not blow out cold. Once I plugged into a 50 amp circuit it worked blowing cold.

On a side note, I didn't read that you swapped out the from thermostat withs the rear. It would of been a good test.

Only one main thermostat control, in the front area above drivers seat.
I haven't had a problem with the AC not working on 30 amp.

Thanks for the reply..

One other Pro Tip if you do this replacement.
Keep the back of your old thermostat, the new one does not line up with the bracket on the wall. I wish I found this out before I crimped the 7 connections together...

So new thermostat has yet to turn itself on.

Erratic Thermostat Function

I've read all of the posts in theses two threads and I'm experiencing the same issues. If plugged into a 30 amp service the thermostat will turn itself on, change temperatures, settings (from a/c to heat) and then from F' to C. I'ts so unreliable that I turn of the breaker to the system and just use the rear a/c which has an analog thermostat.

When plugged into a good 50 amp service it'll function normally. We live in Texas and the high ambient temperatures have caused several systems to behave erratically. My thermostat is mounted on an interior wall and is not equipped with a remote temp sensor.

I trust you all have set the Magnum system to appropriate amp management? If it is set to 30 amp the system will not let both AC units come on together. Thanks
