Where is everyone?

As a one time former co-owner of iRV2, I am still somewhat interested in it's success... For this reason, you'll see me starting threads such as the "Where are you in your Renegade" thread and several others....

I know there are those of you out there that use these threads more for "problem solving" than for chatting and I understand that.

Having said that, I've noticed the absence of several long time member/posters and I just wondered where they were.... EdS, Frank Tamez and several others seemed to post quite a bit for a while, but have been absent for a few weeks.

Is it the holidays perhaps?

As a new Renegade owner, I found Frank's list if where he put stuff in his compartments so handy, that I actually printed it and used it as a guide for where I put my stuff.... His tip of using an outside compartment for "her stuff that doesn't fit inside" was so helpful.... Coming out of a Class A that five more feet and two pass through bays, I needed to learn a new way of storing things... I now have large tubs in one of the street side bays, where I store extra "dry goods" that just won't fit inside..... and that's thanks to Frank.

OK.... Where the heck are you Frank?

I too miss the pass thru storage from my previous C.
I had to pony up the big $$$ and by a telescoping ladder.
I had one of those collapsible step ladders in the old rig that was to long for our storage compartments, and the old rig had a rear ladder to boot.

I started out with many tubs in the storage bays, but that just turned into wasted space since none of them were very full.
I'm still working on getting everything in it's place, but I'm very close.

I'll try and upload a pic from last weekend at Catalina State Park in Tucson, Az.

Same issue with the ladder, I had a collapsible "stick" ladder in the Class A that wouldn't fit in the Renegade, so I just use the "Little Giant" that I already had in the garage and put it in the storage bay.

I'm sure I'll redistribute where everything is placed once I get to Florida and use the coach this season.

Just out of curiosity, what do y'all use the ladders for?

So I found a HUGE need on one of my trips to the woods this summer.
I 'forgot' to bring in the awning
'found' a tree after 3 ft. of movement. So I had to 'help' the awning retract so I could drive home.
A ladder would have been a huge help, although now that I think of it a step ladder may have been better... but it would have to be a 12' step ladder.

Anyways I could have gotten up close to arms of the awning and pulled, tucked them in as the DW pushed the button to retract.
As it was I had to use a broom handle and that eventually worked..

I could foresee 'other' events like this...
and to get up on the roof for cleaning....

If you only carry it for mishaps, such as the one DeputyB mentioned, then I'm glad you haven't had any use for it.
