fans...

I have a centrifugal clutch fan.. when I bought the truck, it was locked on and made a heck of a noise and literally slowed the truck down..

Fixed that and the beast only came on when the temps hit a certain number.

I now notice that it is coming on more and slow speeds without the corresponding numbers..

I have looked for a grease nipple or something.. does this thing need to be lubed ?

thanx

Somewhere , I have a diagram for the lube point on the fan hub bearing on the 3126b, but I don't think that a little grease is going to have anything to do with the operation of the fan as far as temps are concerned .
Have you cleaned the radiator lately ?

I'll post the diagram , when I find it.

Most members report that , Simple Green , works well to loosen any dirt in the radiator , and flush out with water . Tap pressure only not a pressure washer.

Inside and out of the rad , and if the CAC is in front of the rad clean it too , I believe there may be a special version of Simple Green for aluminum, check the label.

Jeep,

You are correct. We didn't use the air con last year.

I was out tooling about the last couple of days and it seems that the fan will kick in at low speeds regardless of the engine speed. I does go off and you increase speed or turn off the air con. Cool.

Thanks.

Skip, if you could find the diagrams, that would be great..
