First, I don't want any responses to check the escapees forum, I've been there I know how to use the Internet.

I'm buying an m2 day cab and retitling it at 16k gvw, that gives me plenty of room weight wise and compiles with the restrictions of my license. In Oklahoma I am not required to make any changes to the truck, but I have gathered that a commercial 5er plate will distroys an rv pun box, what are others using, and is there one I can install without a bed( the bed is coming in the future, but for now I'm just tryin to get by with why works. Thanks all

I've heard that ET hitch is one of the best.

If there are any m2 owners out there, I have lots of questions, please chime in. How did you reg your truck? What class license do you run? Gvwr?

Yeah that thing is sweet, I'm gonna see if that works on the m2, I think the junior they are referring to ford and dodge.

Another question for the m2 owners, what tranny are you running? I've read a lot about mpg but no one has said a word about tranny. I have no problems floating a 9 or 10 (beyond that is overkill for that truck) down the road, I would imagine the manual gets much better performance than an Allison with a locked out 6th. What about performance upgrades? The rest of the drive train surely can handle more than 300hp and 800lbs. Intake? Exhaust? Chipping? Turbo? There must be things we can do to make that machine perform better. I don't move my rig more than 6 to 10 times a year, but I will bob tail on the daily, so I don't want an hdt.

Trailersaver hitch will work just fine too. I've used them for almost 10 years, and no problem. My next hitch will be an ET. The ET is gonna cost more, but it is built stronger than the TS. All in all, those would be the two hitches that I would pull my trailer with,...nothing less.

All you really need to do is run a 1/2" plate across the location of the previous commercial hitch. Once that is done you can mount a trailer saver (I found a used one for $600) to the plate and tap into your rear air supply with either a leveling valve or a switch in the cab to control hitch inflation.
Once the hitch is installed you need to wire in a trailer plug and you are all set.
