Here's something I came across.... 2006 Marathon XLV2S

It's has 35K miles and was traded in by someone that ordered an '07....She's pretty well loaded and the hard word floors are divine!

The dealer is showing this with the original sticker and I wondered if anyone had any idea of what it's worth, as I KNOW they're already discounting new coaches 30 percent at this Marathon dealer.

Nice coach. Have you checked out NewellCoach.com for their pre owned. Come with 2 year warranty. Also in their end of year sale they were offering 20+% off. Interesting alternative if you like the style interior

Bob, thats the coach you should have, it's you. No more messing with wannabe coachs.

Hitchiker, if you did buy that coach, CONGRATULATIONS, what a super fine machine.

Bob, I'm going to put the sticker at $1,450,000. Probably can be bought for 1,050,000.

A guy at River Bend bought a new Newell a couple of years back, the 47' one of only 10 built. He dumped it back to them after a year of problems and spending most of the time is the shop. Also a friend of mine in Canada bought a new conversion Prevost. First four times out it broke down. He threatened to return it. They finally fixed the issue.

So.... don't be so fast to judge the quality or weigh it by issues.

That's real close to the price of the "same unit" on the Marathon website.

Bob,

That is the most wonderful coach. It brings to mind something that I've heard--motor homes do not have roll-over ratings. Since this is essentially the same chassis and body as a passenger coach (which does have a roll-over rating), you would have an extra measure of safety. Does the Essex or LA have a roll-over rating?

George

Peter, your numbers were right on...

Since I've seen them all here in Tampa I made the decision to purchase the London Aire.

No matter what I had heard or posted earlier, the folks at Marathon aren't easy to deal with and aren't interested in giving you a fair amount for your trade.
The salesman actually called me the next day and said he'd gotten the deal down another 50K....Unbelievable!!

By the way George, several months ago two engineers from TRW rolled a coach over on it's roof and lived to tell about it...It was a Newmar too!

Do you guys remember when Winnie shower their MOHO's standing on their roofs. They claimed superior structural integrity. I think they all should still do that. Bobby are you serious about the Marathon ? I'd wager your JESTING

Richard, you would look so good piloting that bus
