Disconnect switch

Had vehicle being worked on, and mechanic started vehicle from rear of bus. Went to coach batteries to look at switch disconnect to find it was not even on. He then tried starting from inside of cab and started right up.

Have any conversion folks out their had this happen to them. I've never had this happen till just yesterday.

Any ideas other then disconnect switch being bad?

If you have a bi-directional relay and the voltage was high enough to activate it, the engine can be cranked from the house battery. This is the same relay controlled by the boost switch.

Or, the starting circuit automatically combines house and chassis battery while cranking.
