I bought some LED light bulbs for my motorhome because I thought they didn't use much electric and they longer than the outcome

You are right, they use little power (1/10) and last long time.

So far I've replaced over 60 halogen lights with LED's in my rig, not just because they take less power but also to get rid of the excessive heat the halogens give off.

Only half of my post got posted something happened when I tried to add pics. I can't figure out how to post them. The bulbs I got have 3 LEDS on a strip with 6 strips around the side topped off with5 LEDs on the top. On 2 of the bulbs one strip of three have started flashing intermittenty. Which if u look at it will make you nauseous. And the fixture where I sit which gets used the most stated smelling like Bandaids I turned the light out and when I looked at the bulb one LED on one 3strip turned like it started to slide off the board it was attached to. I put it back in and it still lights up. But I replaced it. Do the fixtures need to be replaced it's a 1985 windcruiser. Or should I look at my 12v power system everything else works fine. The LEDs are expensive I don't want to waste money on them if there not going to last. Thinking I'm going to put the old bulbs back in and not waste money on LEDs anymore

What is the voltage tolerance of the bulbs you installed vs the actual voltage? I have installed many Hero branded bulbs bought via Amazon without any issues.

Im not sure i bought the bulbs at the local Rv shop.

Be very careful buying LED Bulbs off of Amazon. I bought a pack of 12 and they were delivered today. They're going back on Monday. Won't work in my reading lights and some are loose between the built element and the metal base. A bargain sometimes isn't. Luckily returning through Amazon is relatively painless.

Originally 3, now 2 20 watt "Spot/flood" type light, Halogen, the kind of lamp often used for Landscap lights and Mr. Christmas Projectors.

Well I repalced two with 5 Watt Florcesents... Supposed to be worth 20 watts of incandascent, but also, no, Still good

Just replaced one of those 5 Watters with a 4 Watt LED.. Oh yes, now that's what I'm talking about, nice bright white (Cool white) the card says 50 watts worth of light but I'm happy (I suspect it is closer to 40)

I am converting ALL I can to LED on a BOB basis (burned out bulbs)

one caution though.. I have bought several LED's online.. and a few On site (Store) here is what I have found.

Many Stores carry ECO-Leds These are very high quality and about 20 bucks a pop. but do they ever work. I have two of those in my Downlights, the disc is just the perfect size to fit the fixture.. used to go through 10 watt Lanscape hallogen's about 2 a year... been a long time since I put those in.

I got a bunch early on that claimed to be cool-white.. Deep blue, dim, and all but 2 have long since failed,, Did not last long.

I got some more (recently) claimed to be cool white, also on teh blue side, and dimmer than I'd like but considering where I stuck 'em .. Not a problem so I'm not displeased (basement storage compartment lights)

I have some "Warm White" a bit yellow for my taste, but most of 'em are at least 1141 level bright

And I have some nice bright Cool White ones.

Got some 5-meter Strips from Amazon for a few dollars a roll. So far I've used one and Demoed another .. The one I used, took a lot of work (Slicing and dicing and soldering) but it replaced a couple of florescent tubes in one of my Thin-lights. I had two different sizes of Thin Light, this one was the longer one.. Nice, brighter than the lamps it replaced.. Less power by at least half, And since it is no more the 'Ballast' does not bother my Ham Radio... I can detect it on some bands/frequencies but the key word is "Detect" where as the old ballast the word was "Wipeout".
