The batteries also need to be a compartment that is vented externally. Lead -acid batteries give of hydrogen gas which is explosive.

Been a while

It has been a while since I have posted here but I figured I should give a little update.

Thanks to the father-in-law Farold got some new paint!

As to the questions about the batteries. I addressed that early in the thread. They were only there temporarily. They are now safely placed outside the living area.

I also put in an A/C unit and a 7000 watt generator

Hope you are still on this site. I really like your Bus. Very nicely done and I am sure you have updated some stuff since the original post. What year is the Bus? Gas or Diesel. I don't want to sound like I am prying, but how much did you pay for the bus and what was your est. total for the whole project? I am very much interested in doing a bus project but wanted to get an idea of what one would cost. This vs a regular Class C / A RV. I think they are cool and neat to camp in. I am a disable Vet and on a limited budget. So we home school our kids and need to take field trips. So camping saves us money over hotels. Safe travels and hope to here from you soon.
