There are a few such as myself but 99.9% of the HDT "stuff" is on the Escapees forum under the HDT forum.

Look at a glass half-full. Most posts relate to having a problem. No posts explaining a problem might mean HDT owners have few/no problems. On escapees, there is a discussion concerning Progressive Ins. and some others requiring the truck be attached to the 5er to be insured. Anyone here involved?

Bob: Yeppers, we are still in Rapid City until October 15 when we will head for Texas. Hope the snow holds off until then.

Have you recovered from the Sturgis Hail storms yet??

buehler740,
Thanks for the nice words.........and yes we have our problems too!!
Jim,
Settled on the camper ($5000) and Harley ($1200) but still haggling with the idiot adjuster on the Volvo ($7000),
Funny how two adjusters are totally awesome to work with, and one is just a looser...
So Jim, the nights getting a bit cooler out there??
Cheers,
Bob

Finally recieved the check today, so will let out a few details.
My 5er was covered by EIRIE INSUREANCE. They were absolutely wonderful. Quick, professional, and a pleasure to deal with in all ways. The adjuster actually pointed out a few things that I had not seen, and added them to the estimate. He was really great to work with.
The Volvo HDT was also covered by EIRIE INSURANCE, but by a different adjuster, (Heavy duty truck division) and he was absolutely TERRIBLE IN EVERY WAY.
* Did not return phone calls
* Did not return repeated emails
* When I would finally get him on the phone, all he did was whine about how busy he was, and blah blah blah.....
* After ducking me for over two weeks, he then says that the pictures he saw (that the good guy had taken while looking at my 5er) didn't look like that much damage.
* More unanswered emails and phone calls.
* Finally a nasty email confirming a nasty phone message to him. (Won't go into that detail, but was specific and less than happy) and two phone messages left to him not answered, I finally get him on the phone.......Less than pleasant conversation again about him being busy..blah blah............but ending with finally getting the amount of the estimate (Less my deductable)
This guy is a moron at best, and should have a job selling hookers on a dirty street corner. (Sorry to insult the hookers here)....
Oh well, life and learn. EIRIE will still have my business due to the other gentleman.
Cheers,
Bob

Bob: Glad to hear the issue is resolved. Now all you have to do is get er fixed/repaired. Good luck on that.

Been real nice up here this last two weeks. Too bad August turned into a mess for you guys.

I'm around here too, being a Nor'easter member for many years, but this forum has always been kind of quiet. I like most of you, am always reading the HDT forum on Escapees. I think there are probably more HDT truck owners on this forum than people realize.
