12,300 workhorse frt brakes

Hi, new to the forum, anyone know how to remove the support key on the front calipers of a P42 series? Truck sat for a long time and left front was dragging. I loosened it up but want to remove calipers and clean and lube everything.

WELCOME to iRV2.com's workhorse forum. Unfortunately, MH were not built on the P42 chassis, but that isn't to say you won't get a reply from some of our knowledgeable members. Good luck .Ed

thanks Ed, I am building this truck into my own motorhome. Does that qualify me for the forum?

You are ALWAYS welcome here, even without a MH. Good luck with your DIY project. May also want to check out the "Vintage" forum as there are quite a few projects going on there. Good luck.

for the few who looked at this post. One just has to remove the locking bolt then hammer the caliper retention key in board and the whole thing comes apart. The trick was knowing where and which way to apply the force then applying with confidence. Mission completed. I am a happy man.
