Who knows. Perhaps a person would get smaller tires to reduce the step in height but that's a reach ..

Let's review the OP's evidence:

Now unless the tires were completely dry rotted, who would change a 19.5 Goodyear or Michelin on a vehicle with only 28K miles. The tires were 6 years old so an owner might me inclined to replace the OE tires at that time.

IF the VIN plate shows that the vehicle came with 22.5" tires, that's what it came with and NOT 19.5" tires regardless of what the options are. The FEDS are very picky about the VIN plate and that has to show exactly what the vehicle is equipped with. Mine shows 22.5" tires.

If you have a 5.38 ratio, the vehicle would have come with 22.5 inch tires.

There is nothing in the 17 digit VIN number that will remotely suggest what size tire Workhorse used on the chassis. The 6th digit "6" applies to W22, W21 & W20. These models were/could be equipped with 19.5" tires however only a W22 came with 22.5" tires. The model number is totally dependent on the GVWR of the vehicle.
No, but the OEM can look that info up with he VIN..

So can I ... but the VIN# itself doesn't tell anyone what tires belong on the motorhome.

The tire information is on the "build sheet." Everything including serial numbers on all the major sub assembles and components is listed. Point is that My VIN card or the Chassis Guide or any other public documents don't have that information listed.

What would it take to get "someone" to pull and print or scan the Build Sheet for someone?

I used to own an IH Scout that came with the build sheet printed on a sticker that they was placed on inside of the glove box door...always thought that was kewl and would love to have the one for the WH under my Damon.
