Looking at my cabin air conditioning condenser. It looks like the engine oil cooler is intergrated with this condenser. Can anyone confirm?

I'm not sure but it seems unlikely. The oil cooler may be sandwiched in there in between the radiator and the tranny cooler if you have one. I bet the cooler is stand alone or integrated with something else and not the condenser. I bet perhaps Jon can chime in or one of our many P series owners.

I followed the lines from the oil filter area (looks like the same high pressure lines like AC has) and it goes into the condenser at the bottom and comes out on the other side. Im looking at it, and it has a metal tube that splits and goes right into the same condenser. From the bottom it is confirmed as well. I just wanted to remove the condenser to better help air flow. I do not use the engine AC, so I was going to keep the electric fans wired to a switch to aid in cooling after stops. As most know heat is a killer in there. I have already delt with the bolts on the manifold, so I thought I would try some other areas to improve air. I installed shields like GM said on the passenger side. And also deflectors in the front to direct air through the radiator. But darn, I wanted to get that condenser out of there. But that is not a option with what looks like a oil cooler as well.

So anyone know for sure? I looked it over and over, and those lines go into the condenser........from the oil filter area. So what else could it be?

Sunflyer, probably the single most important cooling improvement you can make is to ensure there are no areas in the forward bulkhead through which hot air from the engine compartment can flow forward only to be pulled through the cool-pak or radiator in an endless inefficient cycle. All of this area should be sealed against air-flow short circuits. Any air entering the engine compartment that has not first gone thru the radiator makes it that much harder for the fans to move air across the radiator. That wall or bulkhead or forward firewall or whatever one calls it in which the radiator is mounted needs to be sealed against air movement. Rubber flaps, and expanding urethane foam are ideal for this. You can fill out gaps around hoses or harness with short lengths of foam pipe insulation available at home centers. Seal it from top to bottom and side to side. When you're done an added benefit should be cooler air available when you have your dash air control set for cool. Good luck!!

Chief, Excellent post!

Please know that the cutout in the fabric for the PCM (powertrain control module "or" the engine control module and transmission control module) should remain open as it came from the factory. I expect that both P series and W series have the same type of cutout. It's a rectangular cutout located on center directly over the top of the radiator. I believe that a bit of bleed cool air on the computer is a good thing.

Thanks guys. I have it all sealed up. As for the opening...is that by the oil fill cap?
