1994 Vectra Suspension Parts Help

I have a 1994 Vectra with Chevy jet air suspension. The track bar bushings are dry rotted out and are causing the axel to be able to shift from side to side. This caused my airbag on the passenger side to rip. I don't know where to find bushing or a airbag. I have tried a few camper stores and got the same story go to GM. After a stop at the GM dealer I was told they no longer make the bushings. If anyone has info or knows a place I can get bushings I would be very grateful. The vin is 1GBKP37NXR3323222 and its a WCM 33RQ if that is any help.

I'd check at Truck parts shops and also GM Truck parts places. You might also find them online using Google. Good luck, I'm sure the parts are out there!

This air bag system was not made by GM. It was an after market system installed by Winnebago on both the Ford and GM chassis'. It is no longer being made but the company is still in business and I spoke to them a few years ago on the phone.

I had a 1994 Vectra on the Ford F53 chassis with the Jet Air system.

Goodyear can supply replacement air bags.

Below is some info for this Jet Air system. I think both GM and Ford chassis used the same parts.

Give me your email address and I'll email the info that should help you.

-Tom

I had to replace the sway bar metal sway bar to frame bracket on my Ford chassis. I found that the number on the metal bracket had a GM part number. I took this GM part number to my local Chevy dealer and their parts manager found this part on his microfiche parts reader. They got the metal bracket for me. I also had worn rubber bushings. These were also shown on the GM microfiche. GM does not call them rubber bushings. They called them "insulators". Jet Air Inc must have used some GM parts on their system. As I told you I had a Ford F53 1994 chassis. It took me awhile to track down where these parts came from. I also made a trip to the Ford dealer which was of no help. The key for me was the GM parts number on the frame to sway bar bracket. If you take that number to your local GM dealer they show be able to show you the exploded view of at least the parts they supplied to Jet Air.

I also have some photos I took of my broken bracket and will email them to you when you give me your email address.

BTW, this was an excellent system and rode and handled great after I replaced my broken bracket and "insulators".

One more comment. If I recall correctly GM no longer supplied rubber insulators. They gave me neoprene insulators. These replacements have a much longer life.
