OK, first post here. My mom has a 97 kountrystar with p30 chasis. She has had it for 6-8 years. Three times the front brakes have locked up got hot brakes and faded.the first 2 times they were going to ocean lakes at myrtle beach and at the same stop light 2 years in a row one of the front brakes locked up. The last time we were 25 miles from home and the same thing happend. Now my father has passed away and it is up to me to fix it. I have the wheels off the front and will replace the caliper, pads, turn roters replace the rubber lines that go to the calaper(i have been told the inner walls can colaps and cause brakes not to release). The problem is the lines are nolonger available from chevy. Also the abs speed senser at the front wheels are melted and at chevy nolonger available.can anybody provide me with part numbers or tell me where to find parts. We want to fix it properly to sell it and go back to a fiver. Was there ever a recall on this model that we missed seems like alot of people have had this problem.

I went to napa but the rubber lines that they say are correct are not they are about 6-8 inches to short and the end at the calaper is wrong. They said they can get the abs speed senser but it cost 350 dollars each side. All other parts came from napa and appear correct.

Woody-
The flex lines can be made; ask locally who makes up brake lines for hod rod hobbyists. Should be a shop near you.

I have asked two places that make hydraulic lines both said they dont make brake lines because of liability but they did not know anyone that makes them.

woody j: WELCOME!
In your OP you mentioned Myrtle Beach. IF you are anywhere near there, you may want to contact Larry's Auto Clinic in MB because they are a highly regarded Workhorse ASC, and Larry may be able to help you with your Chevy P32 issues.

If you post the last 8 digits of your Vin #, I MAY be able to check it for recalls and other info for you. Ed

I just sent you a PM (here on iRV2) with the chassis info. If it is scrambled, send me a reply with your email and I'll send it as an attachment. Good luck with the repairs. Ed

This company probably can help you for your brake lines.

Custom Brake Lines | Reno/Sparks, NV

More than likely there is someone closer to you, but if not....

You can call Larry's Auto Clinic in Myrtle Beach. He's over by the back gate and has a lot of Workhorse brake parts or knows where to get them. 843-293-2205. There isn't a recall on P Series brakes that I am aware of.
