1998 Chevy P37 Rear Brake Rotor Replacement

I am currently having work done on my 1998 NRV Sea Breeze 33' Chevy P37 chassis. The shop tells me that the rear brake rotors need to be replaced. He tells me that new axle seals will be needed as they have to pull the rear axles to pull the hub. My service manual shows removing the hub and rotor as an assembly but not the axle shaft. Pictures I find online do not show removing the axle either. Any input from those who have worked on rear brakes before would be greatly appreciated.

I just had all four brakes and rotors replaced. The cost was very high but I did use a work horse certified dealer. The cost was initially quoted at $3700. When they revised me my only question was why so much? They then told me about having to disassemble the rear axel and the high cost of genuine work horse parts. Long story short, I now have all new brakes and rotors at a negotiated cost of $2400. Still seems high but I sure don't worry about stoping

If indead you have to pull the rear hub the axle has to come out first. The axle is the part you are looking at on the outside of the hub with the six or eight bolts holding it on.
