1998 Fleetwood Southwind 32V p30 ignition

Looking into upgrading ignition switch and found loose pin connector. behind steering column this connector was hanging loose. It has always been disconnected and i was wondering what this connector is for? It has been disconnected from the time I purchased the motorhome 4 years ago from the previous owner.

Definitely OBD2 connector. As stated, scan gauge will work, but also for any diagnostic interface device. Federal mandate for medium and light duty vehicles since 1996 model year, or also 1995 model year with new engine/equipment for that model year. Your daily driver(if it's newer than 95) will have one as well, drivers side under the dash generally.

Thanks guys...I have completed the ignition upgrade as per oemy's performance. Installed relay and looking for a good place to connect the fused wire to the fuse panel under the dash. the attached pic shows a connector that I need in order to connect to 12 volt at that location. It is a single wire connector . Where can i find the connector which plugs directly into the fuse box as do the white wires shown? Thanks in advance. p 30 ignition upgrade.
