2000 p30

Hi all
I have a 2000 Rexhall with a workhorse/454. I am having a problem with the motorhome starting, only when sitting for about 4 to 5 days. I think I have found the problem but I don't know what this part is called. This is some kind of solenoid that is under the dash and connected to the key switch with a cable. If someone knows what this part is called or a part number would help a lot.
Thanks
Jim

Steering Column Parts, Replacement, & How to Instructions

Call these guys. They will tell you all you need to know about your steering column and the components contained within.

That solenoid, if I remember right, is applied when you step on your brake pedal which allows the ignition key to be turned to start the vehicle. A safety feature by GM.

Hope this helps.

Read this post as well. This ignition switch assy is a more common failure item that match your symptoms.

Also, here's a link to the manuals. They are large .pdf files so I recommend viewing/saving to a laptop harddrive.
