Yes, those were the "good old days" when I thought hills and mtns did'nt affect the 8.1 engine temperatures like they did with my old 460 engine. That was before I got my new SG and new engine too. The SG is nice, it let's you know a little about what's going on with the engine, but when it's normal characteristics, there's not much you can do about it. I don't like to see the engine or transmission temps climbing over 200 or 214 but I have to keep going up the hill.
Any time I head east from Denver my engine pretty much never goes over 200* so I can understand why many people don't understand how hard a gas MH works in the mtns and altitude.
We gotta go to Corydon , IN in June so I'll get to have some of that power you guys have back there.
