2003 Fleetwood Terra Ignition Problem

RV Newbie here -- I have been experiencing a flaky dead ignition on my Workhorse chassis usually when the rig is cold (never when warm). When the key is turned to ON or START there are no instruments lights, no accessories or starter. Clicking it on and off several times will finally trip the dash on and the starter will engage properly.
However, once it starts, it usually takes revving the engine for a minute or so to stay lit. Otherwise it dies, but the ignition works fine after that.

I've scanned the forums for similar symptoms, but have not seen this problem posted. Not sure if it matters, but both the chassis and house battery bank disconnect switches do not work -- they simply remain on.

Thanks in advance --

Maybe the moderator can move this to the Chevy Workhorse section to get more views.

It sounds like multiple problems.

What is the name and model number of your Battery Control Center (BCC)?

Follow the red battery cable from your chassis battery, one goes to the starter, and the other one goes to your BCC. That is where your disconnects are located.

The ignition switch is around the base of the steering column, look for burnt or melted wires around the switch. This is a known problem on some P32 chassis. Just take it to any autoparts store, they can match it.
