we had our dash cluster replace a year and a half ago and i see now again it is beginning to fade. it is still under warranty but is this going to be a constant problem and once the warranty expires if it happens again does the owner now foot the bill? they say it is about a 600 dollar repair.

It may continue to be a problem until you get one that Actia has really fixed. I'm on my second one with no indication that it will have the problem. Matter of fact, I didn't even see the problem with my original one - Redlands said they did and changed it out when I was in for other service.

BTW, I understand that WH will stand behind all fixes for the IP on a case by case basis, in or out of warranty.
