We are thinking of buying an 06 Itasca Suncruiser of Winnebago Adventurer model 38J or 38T. We have seen several for sale with Safe-T-Plus Steering and/or sway bars. Is there a problem with these going down the road or are some people installing them but they're not really needed?

I think it's a matter of preferences. I don't like rut tracking, tail wag, or coach lean. I have a steering stablizer, front and rear bars.

I would agree, it would be mostly a personal preference. I have 22,000 miles on my 38T and do not have either installed. Driven in all kinds of weather, winds and roads. Remember "earthquake on wheels", my only complaint is bad highways and the racket and rough ride from bad roads. Besides the above the RV rides and handles fine. Kind of comes with RVing.

egandlg, Please allow yourself a year of ownership before you commit to buying anything for your suspension. In time you will come to realize what it is you need to improve your ownership experience. Get some time on the job first!

You will find that the W24 is a very good chassis and you will be quite pleased with it.

I have nearly 30,000 on my 06 38T and everything is original stock. I’ve never considered adding anything as it has handled quite well for a house on a truck chassis. Good luck with your decision and as Driver indicated, - don’t try to substitute accessories for experience behind the wheel.

DriVer said it best, save your money and drive it for a year. The W24 chassis is impressive as is.

Enjoy
