2006 Fleetwood Terra w/ Workhorse

I am considering looking at a 2006 Terra with a Workhorse chassis. It is 18,000 GVW. Is this a W20? Does it have the Auto Park Brake or some newer problematic system. Would it have been subject to the brake recall? Any other problems with that chassis? Is it a 5 speed Allison? Are parts readily available for the suspension/steering? Is it a straight axle. I had a P30 Workhorse and parts were hard to find. Also very expensive. Thanks

I did find that it should be a W18 chassis. Was new for 2005/6. 8.1 but only a regular 4 speed tranny. Don't like that part. Was not part of the brake recall. I still wonder if it has the APB??

We host a weekly Workhorse chat on Thursdays @9PM Eastern. Feel free to log in & ask questions there too. JohnRR runs that chat & he's got an 06 PA on a WH. I'm sure he'd be able to help with any questions ya have.

The W18 has the same 4L85E transmission as the P32 and it is J72 APB equipped. It does have a beam axle so much less to worry about in regards to steering components wearing out. They used Brembo brakes so no recall. Put a UltraSave on the park brake and you've got a pretty bulletproof chassis. Just wish they would have offered it with the Allison.

Stay away from work course they no longer make parts or you can't get them readily it took me three months to get axles and bearings for the left rear side

Don: I appreciate your comments but I must say that you did not try hard enough. Bearings can be had at any good parts store. They are not a Workhorse number! The axles were not made by Workhorse/ They could be Dana or some other rear axle manufacturer. Any decent shop would know the above.
