2008 Winnebago Destination 37g

Is there anyone out there who actually LIKES this coach? I've been thinking of buying a 2008 model, but all the threads seem to talk about problems, not good things. The more I read, the less comfort I have with a purchase.PLEASE send some good points/news.

Dunno much about the Winnebago Destination 2008, but our '99 Winnebago, along with just about any other Winnebago of any year, we have seen in he neighbourhood is characterized by MAJOR delamination!!!!!!!!

We are about to buy a new RV; but we would go back to tenting before we would ever buy another Winnebago product!!

Like we are now doing: Check out Newmar!!

If you are looking at the UFO chassis you won't find a better gas chassis anywhere. We didn't like the interior on the 37G we looked at but we are very happy with our 39W. No delam on ours, in fact the exterior looks like new.

Well, ACTUALLY, Wayne has one of the prettiest coaches out there. I met them in a CG because I was so impressed with the appearance of it I had to go ask what it was.

To hopefully clarify his other remark, the 37G is a different floor plan (layout) than the 39W, but they were both built with the same quality interiors and framework. Also, a Winnie "Destination" and the Itasca "Latitude" are essentially the same coach, just different fabrics and colors. FYI, there is also an Adventurer "Limited" out there which was used to "build out" the last of the remaining UFOs WBGO had in stock. The "Limited" offers the same floor plan designs, but had a more traditional style of cabinets and furniture. The more European or yacht-like styling of the Destination/Latitude did not appeal to the typical WBGO buyer, and combined with the economic crash, doomed the product after only 3 years.

Just to clarify, we liked the floor plan of the 37G but the cabinets were a mix of "blonde" and cherry and we didn't like that look. We bought the 39W partly because of the king size bed, which has now been converted to a queen size.

To Bruceeb: very good friends of ours bought a 2008 Desitination 37G brand new, still have it, love it, and continue to enjoy it. As Edgeray politely notes, the mid-60's modern look was probably too trendy for the typical WBGO buyer , but is perfect for some including our friends.

Our friends' one issue (which was horrible and continued for months before being resolved) was the water pump issue which left them stranded on the side of the road several times with WBGO denying any responsibiltiy until finally they took care of them. This was/is only an issue for the Workhorse gas chassis and not the diesel - you don't say which version you are considering but if gas make sure the recall work has been done.

We think their unit is beautiful and have enjoyed visiting in their stylish interior many times!

Love my 39w and I have the mix of cherry and blonde cabinets and love it. Best handling and quietest Gasser out there (rear engine you know). You would have to have a big gun to take mine from me.
