Can anyone tell me what brand and number of filter to use on a 8100 Vortec Engine? The oil filter on it currently is on there is generic.

ddw1949, The stock or original equipement filter is an AC/Delco PF454. Many of us have chosen the NAPA Gold Model 1060 for the extra 1/2 qt capacity. If you install the 1060, just add all 7 quarts of oil with no leftovers in your storage compartment.
