Does anyone else but me feel that Workhorse is a poor Customer Service provider. And that Workhorse seems to provide a 3rd rate chassis with inherant engineering faults, and they just continue to drag their feet correcting them. I know I did with my WH chassis, and I see it still continueing with others, Brakes, Water Pumps, Fan Clutch Assembles, Spark Plug Wires, Parking Brakes, and so on, and so on. Maybe one day soon Navistar will drop Workhorse, and start a new chassis production division with a new name, and a clean slate! I think Workhorse has done themselves in. IMHO

PS: Hows the trade in value on a Workhorse chassied coach these days?

Steve;

I remember delivering some spark plug wires all the way from WI to TN specifically for you. Now that is service.

I know, it seems like these things are 'homemade' with what ever parts they could find.
Oh well, Bill Gates started his business out of his garage too.
To make it worse, it seems like WH is not a bit worried about their reputation or future. They just have poor Driver trying to put out all the fires.

I agree, I don't think Navistar or International wants to take over WHs problems. I'd bet if they even decide to stay in the RV chassis business they will change the name and start all over from scratch.

That'll be just great for our resale value. Even now, unless you own one, most people including auto parts stores employees have never heard of a 'Workhorse'. You gotta tell them it's a 3500 Chevy pickup.
Pretty sad, a lot of us got duped

I love my Workhorse UFO chassis and would buy another one without hesitation. I had the FCA problem and Workhorse took care of it to my satisfaction. The brakes on the UFO chassis are better than the ones on my 3 other vehicles.

This is my second WH chassis and it is by far the best from my point of view. It took some time to get the Fan Clutch assembly replaced with the upgrade but the regional manager I worked with here in Texas was stellar in keeping me updated and getting me lined up with a dealer who did the installation in a short period of time.

I believe the engineering and application of technology in the UFO chassis is second to none with respect to gassers (IMHO). I have owned a Ford chassis as well as the WH and I would buy another UFO chassis without hesitation.

Monaco did a good job of implementation of the 38PLT on the 26K UFO chassis and it was the most cost effective product on the market when I purchased it in 2008.

In addition, I spent the money and purchased the parts disc which is available thru WH for my specific coach and found the product to be very useful.

Just my two cents

Best regards

I bought a new to me 06 Allegro Bay on a w22 chasis and I could not be happier. The ride is awesome. It rides like it is on a cloud and drives like a sport car. I think theywill pull out of this problem alright. The fault seems to be on bosch. If theywould provide the parts, wh could fix their problem. I haven't had anyproblems with the brakes and they work great.

To the person who said wh should do what watch what Toyata is doing, what about the news stories that they hid the defects from the public to safe $1oomillion. what do you think of toyota now?

I know we don't agree. We have had a Dodge, Chevy, Ford ,and now a WH chassis. The WH chassis far out performs the others for a gasser. Now I cannot compare with a DP but I didn't pay for a DP.

Oh trade in value is about as good as an orphaned National RV, IMHO,

We got our new to us MH on a W24 about 8 months and 4000 miles ago and we love it. The ride, handling and performance is so much better than the old 95 bounder. Never had a Ford (never wanted one !!) can not afford the DP that I would want. This coach on the Workhorse works great for us.

I've had two bad cat converters and the last one destroyed the engine after only 11,000 miles on it. I am having Redlands truck and RV do the warr. work. I think the service is good but the product sucks,

I honestly can say, I am glad I am not in the market for a new motorhome right now. I really don’t know what chassis I would want. I have had my share of troubles with my Workhorse chassis, which can be a pain since we live in it fulltime. I must say though that I am absolutely happy with the handling power and transmission.

Before we bought our MH we drove the exact same model and floorplan on the Ford chassis and the WH chassis. The WH rode , handled, performed better to us and given the same choice today with the "problems" that WH has. I would still get the WH chassis. JMO!
