OK, I am getting frustrated here with throwing money at this issue and nothing helping it.

I have a 1996 Itasca Sunrise with a GM 6.5L Turbo Diesel. After it was in storage for 6+ years, we bought it, cleaned it up, changed the filters, tires, oil, etc. and got it running and looking nice. We took off for a great trip to Florida beaches and Disney. Trip went great and first 1500 miles were a nice drive. About 500 miles from home, the motor lost top end power. It was a struggle just to get up to 40-45 miles an hour. It just spits and sputters when under strain. And you have to put it to the floor to get to the point it start spitting back.

I have read several things about this motor, and before I throw more money into it would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and what they did. I have replaced the fuel filters, the inline pump, air filters and now being told it could be a PDM module?

Any help from anyone who has had this issue with this motor would be great. I know nothing about Diesel engines.

Thanks

For all the info you can eat on the 6.5 diesel, just go here:
The Diesel Page - for the 6.2L, 6.5L, and Duramax 6600 (6.6L) GM Chevrolet and GMC diesel engines.

When I had my 6.2 diesel Suburban this site was a lifesaver.

OK, it just got stranger, after a week of not running the RV, went out, started right up like normal (no pumping the pedal) and is idling perfect and the check engine light is off?

Sounds like a sensor problem gave the 'putor fits. Suggest taking it a shop to have any stored codes read and cleared.
