Just a reminder! I was able to run the generator just before this while overniting at Sam's Roanoke Va. next to the airport. Gas is cheap at $2.22. Never see other rigs their. It's only three miles down 581 off of I81!!

Might I be the first to inquire as to what your stay has to do with a 79 Gal. fill up?

Maybe the reason the gas is so cheap per gallon is because they know their pump is delivering less than a gallon??? While the OP does not say which chassis he has, I don't know of any GAS chassis with a tank larger than 75 gallons. I've been wrong before. ED

Our friends have a gas pusher with a 100 gal fuel tank. It's a Cruisemaster by Georgie Boy.

A Cruisemaster is a Workhorse UFO. The 100 gallon gas tank comes standard.

You are exactly right.....what was I thinking?? I knew there was another reason I wanted a UFO, and the extra fuel capacity was one of them. My Bad, sorry, but I did say I have been wrong before. ED

Well it"s a deep subject. Remember that we were were told our generators would not suck our gas tanks dry? That's my main point. A couple years back I took on 80 gallons. By the way, my data sheet on my closet door describes my Allegro 31IA as having an 80 gallon tank. And I just wanted to remind you where to find some cheap fuel and a layover. Good luck!!

Imagine calling $2.22 cheap gas. I can remember $.189 when we got married. That was 50 years ago though. I think I may drive down to get some of that cheap gas though.

Ed:
Maybe you have been hangin with DriVer to much.
FWIW, when my notoriously accurite fuel guage reads 1/4 tank, my gennie will shut down.

The data sheet in our closet states that we also have an 80 gallon tank in our 2008 Allegro Bay gas coach too. Of course I don't believe that!

As it happens, last evening I was at the RV island at the Rock Hill SC Flying J. The coach took 80.5 gallons. The gas guage was one mark above red when I pulled in. It is what it is!!

I've got a Forest River Georgetown 391 with the UFO chassis. Specs say 100 gallons. When I took the gas tank down to the fumes and pulled into a Costco gas station I had to restart the pump twice. It quits at $100. Roughly three hundred dollars later at $2.90 per. I'll let you do the math.
