$997 for front rotors, pads, seals, lube, and flush--does that sound about right?

I agree with Oemtech, but I have a hunch they will say there is only a recall on the calipers, not the rotors , pads or seals.

Even if there was no recall, $997 seems ridiculous to me.
These places must think that if we have a motorhome, we must be stinking rich.

Actually Workhorse just replaced my Rotors for free but they quoted me $700 to $800 if Workhorse didn’t pay. I did pay $240 for Pads so for everything you listed, I think it’s a fair price.

Front pads $140, Front rotors $390, Front seals $80, Labor $400, assuming all work at a Workhorse service center. $997 sounds bad but may be realistic.

Had the calipers not stuck none of the parts would have been required. Maybe pro rate for normal wear.

Some people get the work done at no cost and the garage says WH will cover it and others have to pay themselves and then hope WH will reimburse them. There is no uniformity to this whole program. If you drive with the brakes hanging up and overheat them to the point of causing damage then WH may cover the cost. If someone knows there is a problem and stops before major damage is done you get penalized for doing the right thing.

That's a pretty succinct summary of what's been posted here on iRV2. And pretty consistent w/what happens with a company that lets idiot lawyers dictate how customers should be handled.

Mike - Can't we communicate without tagging people with handles? How does your comment help anyone?

Price sounds high but depending on the area of the country , it might be realistic. Here on the east coast we seem to have higher labor rates. What was the reason for the replacement? What was the mileage on the unit. Did the front calipers fail?

The front rotors were cracked clean through for the second time in 10,000 miles and 3 years. Workhorse said the problem was not due to caliper failure!
