a/c compressor bypass parts

We own 2002 workhorse w22. Have 62000 miles we are now on our 3rd belt. I'm replacing the a/c compressor because pulley wobble & compressor clutch problem + leaking compressor. I understand there is a different serpentine & pulley to by pass the compressor if it locks up so you can continue to drive. I would very much like to have those part numbers.
Thank you in advance BIG PIGGY.

You could use a piece of string to measure the length of a path that bypasses the compressor pulley. Measure twice then take that measurement to an auto parts store. I'm sure they can provide a belt that would fit to carry in case of an emergency.

This in not correct, you can NOT just change the belt on the 8.1, you have to change out a smooth pulley for a ribbed/grooved one.

Here is the diagram with part numbers.

I have seen compressor eliminators that mount in place of an existing compressor but have a pulley that allows same belt to be used as with the compressor. I believe Dorman has a product line for that purpose. Don't know if a part is available for the 8.1 chev.

Here’s what have for a w20.
Dayco grooved pulley #89012 Goodyear pulley #49021. Gates pulley #38017
All the same , just different makes
Belt,
Gates #K060956 or Dayco #5060955
I believe the grooved pulley goes on in place of the smooth pulley on the tensioner. Hope this helps.

Fyi, my 'good' belt failed due to a weak spring on the tensioner. Might want to check it while you are at it.
