HERE is a link to a P/N cross-reference chart on Oemy's website. Lots of good Workhorse info there. Scroll down to A/C Parts. The clutch isn't listed separately, so it looks like you may have to buy the whole compressor. However, it looks like replacements are available from several sources, so you will probably be able to get a better price on the whole compressor than you would pay for just the clutch from Workhorse.

have you thought about disconnecting the dash ac and using the genny and coach ac? my dash ac system will not hold freon so i pulled the fuse.
if your 8.1 is similar to mine, you would use a shorter dayco belt #5060955 and a grooved center idler goodyear #49201.
another alternative is to use a dorman #49201 pulley kit that replaces the ac compressor. this kit uses the original length belt.
there is more info about this in the archives of this forum.

You have to replace the compressor. If you do make sure and get a new one!

I have a noisy A/C clutch and had a discussion with a friend that knows these parts and here is what he had to say.

Quote:
Dale, the Compressor Clutch part number I gave you is a "PigTail" connector clutch and will not work on your compressor if you have the old syle compressor (ID 7135 [original GM#15067135]). The ACDelco compressor assy is ACDelco #15-22124A (See ATTACHED PHOTO LINK}. ACDelco does not service this compressor clutch (HT6 clutch) seperately, but it is available in the aftermarket part stores. Rockauto sells the clutch as: FOUR SEASONS Part # 48667.

The clutch is held on with a nut and a snap ring (some do not have the snap ring), so the change is doable IF you have enough room to see what you are doing. You may be able to remove the 4 mounting bolts and unplug the 2 electrical plugs and turn the compressor enough to see what you need to see to change the clutch assy. Glenn

A/C Compressor Clutch

Thanks for the info OEMTech, the clutch bearing is howling on my 2004 Georgetown with 25,500 miles but it stops when the clutch engages. Time to get compressor replaced.

The noise is comming from the clutch not disengaging all the way. The outer clutch plate is riveted to the hub and the rivets come loose and the clutch won't pull away from the belt drive. this is what happened to mine. The problem I have is out of all these numbers I don't know the one that would fit my 04 W22 chassis.
