If anyone's interested I thought I'd post a couple of things I did to my Workhorse Chassis to help me out with a couple of complaints I've had about my gas coach.
I added an on board air compressor (which of course is non-existant) on gas chassis'.
The following photo shows where I mounted the compressor and the 2-gal. air tank. The air coupler, not seen in the photo is located just inside at the top behind the grill.
Air Compressor mounted on the frame just in front of the lower part of radiator.
This is the 2-gal air tank mounted underneath the frame. The kit came with a 35 ft. coiled air hose that will reach all the tires and just about anything else I might need. It's a 150lb 100% duty cycle Viair Kit. The compressor is quiet and will fill the tank from 0 to 150 lbs in about 2.5 to 3 minutes.
This next photo shows what I did to help keep bugs and other flying insects out of the interior of the motorhome. I'm not sure if there is a screen or filter inside of the air box but previous to adding the screen, at least in Colorado every spring the Miller Moths would make a field day out of the inside of the motorhome. Since I put this screen over the opening I haven't had one moth or any other insect getting in. The screen is a little on the ugly installation method, but until I can come up with a better setup, preferably one I can snap on and off, it will have to do. I also made a heavy plastic cover to put over this opening during the winter. The manufacture's design doesn't allow this to be closed off without the engine vacuum. In otherwords it takes vaccum to close the air box, once the engine is off and after a few hours the vacuum leaks off and the outside "cold" air can drift in through the dash vents.
The screen is held in place by a piece of aluminum wire that's tightened around the bottom edge of the air box inlet.
