I seem to have a belt squeek that will last for about a hour or more. They said the pulleys were not in line and they corrected. The noise came back.
My gear lever does'nt click down into low, I had to do a quick stop on the freeway and pulled down into low but did'nt go down passed 2nd. Th

SocalHodaka, welcome to the forum. As others are going to say, you need to include what you are driving, year would be most helpful. I once in a while get a whine as well, but it can be due to many things, if you are not a full timer you need to run it at least once a month. My problem was my alternator, had it replaced and the problem went away. As for the Allison trans not going into first, it probably will not if you are moving too quickly. In fact your lucky your "limiter" light didn't come on. We really need to know some additional info.

I have a ITASCA Sunova 2006. Model 30B. Workhorse P32 chassis. This is our first new MH and new to all the forums. I have a ton of questions so I'm reading a bunch of the different forums. I guess if I have question about the coach I should post in the Winnebago forum? Thanks for the reply. Kelly

For you coach yes, I would think the Winnebago forum branch of this forum would be best. However, for your P32 you are in the best place. Since I have a W22 I will let the other participants respond to your questions. I have found this forum to be the best in available information on the web, and the most hospitable. Hope to see you here often. Give it a little extra time today as many are east of us and probably dealing with the storms right now.
Bob

Thanks for the info. I added to my sig so now you know more about me. Also is the spark plug wire problem an issue on the workhorse depending on a certian coach that is mounted on the chassis. Thanks Kelly

for the belt squeak I suggest you take it in, I had the same problem and it was the belt. They put a treatment on it. He said it had probably gotten wet and then glazed a bit. But didn't require replacing anything.

It seems to come up on certain models more than a blanket case on all. I for one have never had the problem, and I drive in very hot weather, pulling both inclines and a boat.

Welcome Socalhodaka
I have a P32 and the belt noise comes and goes, I have 14,000 miles on the MH. I put belt dressing on and the belt noise goes away. The spark plug wires on mine look good, I don't remember reading about the wire problem with the P32's.

P32 still being produced? I feel bad for not being more verbal about this chassis' shortcomings after owning one.
This may bring out more than I want to hear, but I
OWNED ONE, FROM NEW...and know...........makes me feel like a whistleblower.
