Hello,
I have a 2009 Damon Daybreak 3575 on the Workhorse Chassis with the 8.1. I have had the recall done on the brakes. Coming back from our last trip two weeks ago, the ABS light came on along with a warning to check the ABS. The crusie control quit working as well. I took the motor home to my local WorkHorse chassis dealer and he had it for a week only to tell me he needed to get some equipment to diagnose the problem. He also said he had about 4 others that were doing the same thing. Anybody else have this problem?

I don't know that for sure, but I would have to assume that they did.

Check fuses under the hood, "stop/haz" #29 (20amp) and "brake" #37 (10amp).

There is a picture some where on forum with new caliper number so you can check.
Maybe DriVer knows where it is and will post it, I looked but couldn't find, stay tuned.

Thanks Jon,
I will check that tonight.
BTW, I live in Washington MO about 50 miles West of St. Louis. If I want to have your rear Trac Bar installed, is there someone that could do that in this area?

Here is the identification diagram for future reference.
I don't know of any local shops to refer you to but pretty much any truck shop or RV chassis service center should have no problem installing it.

Your mechanic will think that I am nuts but remember my first wife was president of the that club.
Eighteen months ago my ABS light came on followed by the cruise control and turn signals. I pulled into a rest area and inquired and was told that I had a serious electrical problem in the ignition switch. I traveled to the nearest Chevrolet dealer who diagnosed it as a problem with the ignition switch not where the key is placed but below at the floor. That's where the switch is. Not where you put the key in. Other workhorse chassis owners have had the same thing but have had to be towed. Just a thought.
Have fun!!

FYI---The ignition switch problem is an issue with the P-chassis' and not on the W-series.

In this thread someone was having a problem with ignition switch but it could have been with the wiring harness for ignition switch, that goes over a metal bend at top of steering column.
There are control leads for other funtions from your ignition switch.

I'm afraid that I am mechanically challenged and the picture to check for the correct calibers might as well be written in French. I wouldn't have a clue as to where to look for those B's. LOL With a little luck, I may be able to find the fuse box under the hood to at least check the fuses.

Not exactly. I needed brake pads. You might not need pads if your tech did not recommend them.
I only illustrated what a person should look for as a visual gauge that most people can understand if they see their pads edge on.

Finally had a chance to go over and check the fuses. It appeared that I had a blown stop/haz (20 amp) I replaced it and the 10 amp brake fuse just to make sure. I will be taking it out tomorrow for a short 75 mile trip and hope that the warning light doesn't come back on. Thanks for the suggestion Jon.
