ABS light stays on

The abs light on my 2005 workhorse chassis W22 Seabreeze stays on. My question: Is this the same as described by others in the forum, or is it different ? I tried to twist the one on a front wheel with no luck. there are two screws, look like 12 point, should I remove them or twist some more?

I'm not familiar with your chassis but this can often be caused by the sensors getting dirty and a good washing with a hose might take care of it. At least it did with mine when they started acting up.

Good luck.

I'm not sure as to what you're screwing in or out, but from some of the forums that i have read, check connections and check to make sure their clean and right up close to the cog wheel. Other then that i drove mine from the carolinas to mich with the light on and had no troubles, ha ha!

The light means there was a problem detected and the ABS has been shut down. The brakes will function normally otherwise.
I believe the sensors just plug into the hole. No screws or otherwise. It may have got hot enough to melt itself into the hole and be difficult to get out.

Look Here Oemy's Web Site - Tech Tips About half way down the page.

Check your brake lights. Make sure they're working.

I did as most everyone was saying, twist and pull, they all came out, some were dirty on the end. I cleaned them off, sprayed some silicone on them and put them back. I had to tap gently on them to get them all the way in. I drove the motorhome about 100 yards, and the ABS light went out.
Thanks to everyone.

Not likely. In most cases it is a sensor fault.

I would simply take the cables off the chassis battery for a minute then reconnect and see if the light goes out.

My right front ABS sensor MELTED (workhorse W22 chassis) and the ABS light came on. I drove it home with no problem. UPS delivered my new sensor from OEMY's today, so I'll be installing it soon. Check your sensors.

ABS light

I also had ABS light/brake light on, found broken level sensor in reservoir and also the pressure switch in the base of the master cylinder was rusted/frozen in one direction. I disconnected both and no more lights. Since they are both normally open switches, this is their "normal" state anyway, so the computer is happy. I found out that the pressure switch has been eliminated in later model years and I am not really concerned about a fluid level sensor in the reservoir.

Problem with the sensors are the $125.00, not cheap.

Mine was $79 including shipping. Still not cheap, but not too bad considering I've only had to replace one in 11 years.
