I had the AC compressor replaced yesterday because of noise. The tech said the clutch was bad as described here numerous times. The work horse service center here in Jacksonville, Fl replaced it with a Compressor Works 620151. He said it was an exact replacement. On the trip home yesterday after replacement, it is cooling but I think not as cold as before replacement. At least here's another possible part number. I found it online for $190. Naturally they didn't charge me that price. Later this week we're heading to Fort Myers and that trip will give me a good idea of how it's cooling.

Driver, I read in one of your older posts that you knew your AC was cold enough when your DW said she was cold. I think that's the standard I'm going to apply.

If you can locate the sight glass you could see if it's fully charged.
Bubbles would indicate low refrigerant charge.
