Ever felt so right about something that you become adamant about it?

I was completely wrong about my fan rotation.

You're right, they rotate clockwise.

Sorry about that chief. I stand corrected.

Was doing some looking around and found a pdf of the Workhorse Chassis Guide covering 95 to 2006 models. Lots of information including this:

The electric condenser fan(s) also assists with engine
cooling. The condenser fan(s) are mounted either on the
air conditioning condenser or on the transmission
external oil cooler. Both the condenser and external
transmission oil cooler are mounted in front of the
radiator. One large electronic fan was utilized on all
chassis prior to 2001 model year, and all chassis 15,000 lb.
GVWR or lower, or if equipped with a 6.5L diesel engine
regardless of model year. All other chassis 2001 model
year or newer will be equipped with two smaller electric
fans, see adjacent diagram. These fan(s) are controlled by
the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and operate
whenever the dash air conditioning compressor is
operating or if the engine temperature is above 221
degrees F.

Geofferyh had it right..

Thanks Mudffrog. That is exactly what I needed. Now I know I have a problem since my fans are not coming on when the compressor is running but do with the engine temp. Now I need to learn what the Power Module is looking for to turn the fans on. Is it simply the AC switch?

As I said before, my fans do not come on immediately when I turn on the a/c. I takes a while and then they come on. This is just starting it up and letting it idle.

Gary, because of your last thread I decided to check it out. Fired up the Allegro Bay and turned on the AC. The fans came on immediately?????? It is cool at 78 degrees here in Virginia beach. I am still not sure how it is suppose to happen. The fans did not come on yesterday even after running the engine for 10 minutes with 88 degree weather. I have put in a question to Tiffin and will post with their comments when I receive them. Such a "simple" question.

As we used to say in the Air Force, it's all FM.

I'll go try mine again today just to see what happens.

This is not my week. Just had to have my AC compressor replaced. After $500 parts and labor I have AC again. My mechanic turned on the AC and the fans did not come on for about 30 seconds and then ran wide open. I also had a relay problem on the fans. So now all is well(except my cluster). HA! Thanks all. Great forum.
