Thumbs up AC Delco Spark Plug rebate!

I do tons of research before doing anything on my new to me motorhome because I'm a newbie. I decided to go with AC Delco Iridium Spark Plug, 41-101 and saw there's a rebate for $3 off per plug up to 16 plugs per household. Rebate ends August 31st.
Then I found Walmart has the plugs for $4.66 each. Such a great deal I thought I'd share.
I plan to order SPW8100 - UltraPower 8.1L Magnum Spark Plug Wires. Seems to be popular with all of you.
I'm excited to do my first plug/wire change on my new to me Mt Aire, she has about 55k. Love this site, I learn so much from everybody.

I think you will be very happy with the ACD 41-101 plugs and magnum wires. It's a very simple install and it made a difference on both of my coaches.

Be sure and tighten the gap to .045" from .060" This is very important. Your 8.1 will like the tighter gap a lot.

Be sure to replace your air filter and clean your MAF.

A dirty MAF will cause P0150 and P0151 codes. Says O2 sensor.

You will also gain a lot of power back with a clean MAF. Be sure to only use MAF cleaner.

Once a year I add five cans of Seafoam which will treat 75 gallons of gas. I run the generator while that is in there for an hour.

For example we are leaving on a trip in July and I'll add the Seafoam and go about 350 miles to my first fillup.

Have been doing that for many years and so far the generator has run fine along with the engine.

My generator is one reason I want to Seafoam. It takes several tries before it starts and it won't start without the RV engine running. Is that normal? Even with priming each time it has difficulty. I don't know if its ever been serviced before. I do need to pick up a spark plug for it yet. It has about 560 hours. I already have the Onan oil and air filter for it. I read something about the inline fuel filter on the generator not being serviceable any longer, they put some sort of bypass in its place. Not sure if mine has that or not, its something I will investigate.

My Onan 5500 starts from the house batteries. After the primed light comes on it will start with about five seconds of cranking. It is the original spark plug.

What voltage are you seeing on your house batteries?

If you have to have your engine running that suggests to me that your engine alternator is charging your house batteries and is starting the generator.

I have to prime and try starting 3-4 times before it starts. My 4 house batteries show they are good, can't remember the exact number on the monitor, but when I got it inspected they showed 12-13volts. They are dated 2018. RV stays plugged into a 110v at the storage place. I unplug it to start generator or engine. Does this not charge the house batteries?
I noticed corrosion on one terminal a couple of weeks ago, I poured baking soda/water but had nothing to stop it from reoccurring. I saw corrosion came back and I now have wire brush, terminal cleaner and a spray protectant I plan to take care of it today. Turn the power off to batteries beforehand.
Thanks for your help. I still have so much to learn.

When plugged into shore power it should charge the house batteries.

Sounds like once you clean the terminals, replace the plug and get a lot of Seafoam through the generator you should be OK.

No.

Mine starts when we are going down the road just fine. Do it all the time.
