That's what my MH would like. It's always saying, "Why could'nt some normal people have bought me, like people who stay on paved roads, and pull into RV parks and plug in and stay put for a few weeks or months?" I just tell it to shut up and get up the hill., and be glad she gets to see fantastic areas on every trip where some MHs never get to see.

But do you know what I mean by a 'colder range plug'? I'd bet they one that would be a colder plug but probably because of the emission standard and wanting newer engines to run hotter to burn all or more of the fuel. They , as mfgs, are probably not allowed to encourage use of them. Colder spark plugs burn a darker color because they don't get as hot. Only makes sense that may be polluting more. Motorcycles don't have near as strict emission standards yet, but going that way. Remember when 160* and maybe the 180* thermostats were common?
I don't know if any of this could fix the wire burning problem but it definitly would be going in the right direction, IMO.
BTW, I got my Taylor Supreme wire , along with heat shield and heat sock, in the mail yesterday. Thank you and I'll get right back to ya. I'm hoping this will be the little bit of difference it needs. I'll let you know how she does.

A lot of the motorcycles and even my Champion Generator recomend different heat range plugs for differernt operating conditions.
All of my motorcycles give different heat range plug options and even the Iridium plug option but I believe the Iridiums are about 3 or2X more money
You can go back to the stock plug (41-983).

Dale... Remember GM/Workhorse does not put "Never Seize" on the plugs and I have had some take a bit of work to get out.
So are you saying it's okay to use "Never Seize", ??

Bob, I use never seize on all my spark plug installations and have done so for the past few years. A light coating is all you need. I also use a Silicone Dielectric Compound on the spark plug tip but not on the coil side. I don't expect that GM uses SDC on OE installations as well.

Anytime you have dis-similar metals that remain tightened for an extended period of time they can become very difficult to remove. I have used "Never Seize" for years and never had a problem when properly applied and the plugs torqued to spec. My "torquing arm" is a close related to my "butt dyno".

You are referring to function of the two rather than size, I presume.
