Air Bag Installation

OK, so I had bad airbags in the front of the coach. Bought a set of Air Lift 1000's and had a heck of a time getting them in. Did everything you are supposed to do, but they are a bear. After the second one was in I noticed the valve stem was loose and in fact will pull out. I am hoping it either receives its seal from pressure in the bag or there is a sealant I can use to put it back in. Please don't tell me it can't be fixed, but I am looking for input! Thanks

usually the valve stem is part of the molded air bags. Can you take a picture to show how the stem separated?

I know you all love a photo, but one isn't needed here. If I pull on it the valve comes out in my hand.

Then my guess is that pressure in the bag will shoot it out at you. Sorry.

Are you talking an actual valve stem or are you talking about the valve stem core that goes into the valve stem? A valve stem core is screwed into/out of the valve stem using a valve stem core tool (older metal valve stem covers had a slot and hole in the cap for removing/installing cores).

A picture of what you're holding in your hand would be of great assistance in helping you out.

could be the core. You can ask a tire shop for one of those valve caps that have the integrated core tool.

Those air bags will need to be replaced.
