I have a 2008 Winnebago Adventurer 35L on a W-22 chassis. Can one install after market air bags and will it improve the ride?

Mike & Carol_CA, Short answer is no. Air bags are used on some W Series equipped motorhome chassis to adjust the ride height. They do not contribute to weight carrying capability. They will not significantly improve your ride comfort.

If you are indeed looking for a ride enhancement solution, consider if you will the Koni FSD Shock absorber.

Approximately 5 years ago Workhorse parts developed an aftermarket kit called the Stabil-Air suspension. This was a 4 bag system with auto leveling and it used Koni FSD shock absorbers. The system was labor intensive taking as much as 3-4 days to install and it cost approximately $5,000 TO $6,000.

A set of Konis will return a big improvement for a modest expense of approximately ~ $600.00.

I like the 35L FWS, Nice rig!

My Rexhall has the Firestone rear air bags factory installed by Rexhall. Since I’ve always run about 50psi in them I can’t tell you if there would be any difference without them. I have been told they help with the side to side movement in and out of driveways and such. They probably help with stability going down the road also.
