Good Morning
I haven't posted in a long time, and this may not be the correct forum, but I have noticed that on my Newmar Mountain Aire / Workhorse W-22 chassis the air conditioner is always running. It doesn't matter where the switches are set. Is this normal for the W-22? Do you folks think it's a Newmar issue rather than a Workhorse issue? I know Workhorse supplies the compressor and mechanics, but I don't know who supplies the switches.
Thanks
Jack

Your air shound not run unless you have it set to come on.I would think if you turn the. Switch off nothing will run. If you Have set to air check to see what the thermostat is set at.you can set it back to default. For now to shut off if switch will not .turn the AC braker off. Just a thought

Don't know what year or model of your rig.
Mine has an "Off" position and it shuts off the chassis A/C , heat, vent and defrost altogether.

Our MH isn't a Newmar but the air conditioners all seem to be similar. Is the fan set to on rather than auto?

Air conditioner should not run unless you are in either A/C or DEFROST modes.
Sounds like a siezed clutch bearing.

jack, Workhorse is in charge of the high pressure side of the AC system. Switches, blower motor, other controls, wiring and ducting are all items that the body builder provides.
