I recently purchased a 2004 fleetwood fiesta on a p32 workhorse chassis. I want to change the air filter. the top of the filter box is against the floor of the rv and the bottom is riveted in place. there is not enough room the release the top clips to access the filter. It appears I have to remove the rivets. is this the case or am I overlooking something.
Thanks
Roger

Roger, I don't expect that you have to remove the rivets. Once you open the clips, the back of the air box cracks open at the top and the back goes vertically upward. There are a number of plastic cogs or teeth that engage the bottom of the enclosure and you will see those when you remove the back.

DriVer, Thanks for the quick reply. My problem is that I don't have enough space to release the clips on the top. and since it is riveted in place I cant move it. I have basically the same fiter box on a chev pick up, but there I have plenty of room.

rtgec, That's so funny! I'm thinkin that someone has got to have changed that filter since 2004! I'd find a way without removing pop rivits!

Can you stick a camera in there? I'd like to see this air filter box.

I will try to post pictures when I get the r.v. back from the shop. The a.c. started blowing hot air and they determined the condenser is leaking. They are having problems locating a new one as it is apparently workhorse specific. Any suggestions for parts sources.
Thanks
Roger.

On my 2000 P32 I had to use a long screw driver to pry the clips up because there wasn't enough room to get your fingers in there to take the clips loose. I also had to push them back down with a pry bar. I also found it easyer to take the hose loose to remove the filter cover.
