I'm seriously looking into buying a set of Alcoa wheels for our 2004 Allegro Bay 37DB and the Alcoa dist. wants to know the size of our steel wheels. I guess I have to take off the stainless steel simulator rims. But, does anyone here know the size wheel Workhorse used on the 2004 22.5" wheels? I guess there are lots of 22.5" size Alcoa wheels. Please reply if you know the correct answer. Thanks, Chuck/Bagman57.

You should find the rim size stamped on the rear wheel. Only necessary to remove one rear wheel cover, its stamped on the dished side, which would be an outside dual. Might be a lot easier to just look it up in the online service manual.

CHUCK: I think you will find your steel wheels are 6.75" x 22.5" made by Maxion and rated for 5,000 pounds each.

I'm sure the Alcoa dealer will know, but you MAY need to change stud length to accomodate the thicker Aluminum hubs. Also, if you are not getting 6, ask about the Alcoa recommended "spacer" that eliminates the potential for corrosion due to dis-similar metals remaing in contact with each other. ED

Thanks Ed, I was just interested in four, just like I had on our 1996 class C. Regards, Chuck.
